Cowboy Cole and Close to Crying Caden

Shooting my boy is always a great lesson in shutter speed; the kid doesn't hold still. So, the other day while he was at pre-school I grabbed a little whose face I love to shoot (not to mention, the doll will hold still for as long as I like; he is great for practing in manual.) Cole is so fun to take pictures of. We had a great time taking advantage of some of our local buildings.

I liked to call this shoot, the first part of it at least, Cowboy Cole.

A little wardrobe change and enter Caden, the crying brother. (I can only say that because every picture of me for ummm, like the first 5 years of my life was filled with tears. I actually don't mind it when kids crying during pictures; it's who they are right now, right?)

Wardrobe. (Vickie, knows me well. She knew I would want to more than just the cowboy stuff. She even put the boys in bright colors, "I know you like them Kam!" Thanks Vick!!)

When I don't have a large black thing in his face he actually thinks I am pretty cool. I am surprised he isn't more enchanted by my camera; he loves transformers. ;)

I love this shot of kids for some reason. I just think it is innocent and sweet and shows their gorgeous eyelashes. You can't buy eyelashes that beautiful!

The tears kind of started coming right about...

Aw, the little one with tears is too cute! Well they are all cute but especially him. My ideal bedtime is 10:30 since my alarm goes off at 6:30 every morning. I love me some 8 hours of sleep! So close to midnight and still on the computer? Scandalous for me!

Aeryn was sitting on my lap as I was looking at this post and our conversation went something like this:
"Mama, who is that?"
"It's a little boy named Cole."
"Oh, I love Cole."

Good work. He's already building a fan club from your shots ;)

why oh why oh why can't I live in California?!?! I would LOVE to see what you could do with my boys. If you can make crying look good, you could make anything look good. We're always trying to do our own pictures with the remote, and we take about 100 only to have ONE turn out kind of, sort of good.

I am THRILLED that you're going to have your very own business. You will do wonderful things with it I think. Congrats!!!

Good job Kam! The cowboys shots are awesome. I would love to see them in B/W too and a little grain added. These are my fav thus far. Keep the hits coming. Good luck with the biz. I'm still figuring it all out too!

Congratulations on your business. I know that if you lived in Colorado you would be our sole photographer!!! I love your creativity! Seriously your pictures should be in magazines as far as I am concerned! Not to mention you would be fun to work with!

oh my gosh, those boys are soooooo cute. The little one kinda looks a bit like my Maddy (especially with his pouty lip). You are soooooo good. My fav is the one of Cole that you titled "The Cowboy"...his eyes and smile are awesome. My second fav is the one of Cole's eyelashes. Eddie loved the eyelash one too. All are superb. Your friend will be stoked.
