The Last One

You know that feeling you get in the pit of your stomach at the end of a really great weekend and you have to go to work the next day? Or the feeling you used to get as a kid when Christmas break was ending and you had to go back to school? I am feeling that right now. Tomorrow is the first day of my LAST semester of grad school, and I have ZERO motivation. Zero, zip, zilch, zada (that's nada with a z; I wanted to continue that z alliteration I had going but couldn't think of another one, so I made one up.) My motivation has run dry...I used it up last semester. Remember that semester? The one when I had the baby...yep...used up all the drive and motivation I could muster to get me through. Now, I am feeling apathetic and completely blaze (that should have an accent over the e...(blah-zay)) about the whole school thing. I know I made the choice myself so I need to just bit the bullet, buck up, what other colloquialisms can I use to tell myself to just jump in?..., but honestly, I've got nothing. I am tapped out, drained.

QUICK!!! Tell me I can do it! Help me get 'er done!!

I do want to be the master, but right now I would rather stare at this beautiful profile

and eat fruit snacks for breakfast with my son.

Someone out there...please...remind me that I am smart, clever, and a super hero!

First off - you totally rock!!! You're awesome and YES YOU CAN DO THIS.

The best advice I was given when I chose to go back to school was that the time is going to pass no matter what. At the end of it you'll either have the degree or you won't. Think of it. Before she's a year you'll have it done and you won't have to struggle within at the thought that it could've been completed already.

If you get it done now then all those things with the kids can continue uninterrupted.

I could go on and on. Returning to school has been a great blessing to me though I debated it immensely. Sorry to drone on, you're at the precipice of completion and that is a really great thing!)

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH the leg warmers are adorable! What a beautiful baby girl!

I'm a 32 year old mommy who had (has) 1 semester of college left (seriously...!) towards a degree in music performance. We moved when my hubby got his first job. I wish oh wish I could finish! And maybe someday I will. In fact, the other night I had a dream that I was walking across the campus of my alma mater watching all of the graduates graduate; and feeling very left out (silly but true!).

The light is at the end of the tunnel... Best of luck, keep looking towards the light.

Oh my gosh Kam, just give up. Don't even bother, I mean I already call you master and you've already finished most of it. And had a baby. And started a successful photography business. And are a wonderful mother. And are an amazing friend. And your decore is stunning. And, well, the list goes on... You can totally do it! Nordstroms is waiting for you when you graduate. You deserve a new pair of shoes and trip to the MAC counter. You are so smart, clever, and a real super hero. I'm sure you wear wonderwoman underwear!

I really think it won't be so bad once you are on the countdown, 1.you won't be pregnant this semester, 2. One day at a time will pass and the clock will tick tock no matter what you are doing, 3. you are intelligent, entertaining and Uberwoman, or maybe Lady redundant woman ;)

You are smart! You are clever! You are a super hero! The finish line is in sight, just keep running! (or jogging, or limping, or whatever you have to do to finish that race :)!). Plus, who is everyone else in the class going to keep up with if you're not there?

I just started last week with very little motivation, but it's not so bad. Nice to talk to adults, even when my heart is with my kiddos :).
