rock star

larkin has decided to party like a rock star all night long. the girl can wail.
by morning she is ready to sleep all day...
and gets a little upset when she is woken up prematurely.
check out that stink eye...
and in true rock star nature she is ruling the roost. my new mantra: you can do this! you can do this! YOU can do this!!
I will sleep again...someday...

I love that last pic. Sounds like maybe she has her days/nights mixed up? Never fear, our pediatrician said they grow out of it around 6-7 weeks. Sounds like forever, I know!

You should read the book Baby Wise. It has worked like a gem for us. Kamdyn started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks and I am lovin' it!!!

She is perfect, just as I trusted she would be. You wouldn't EVER create anything mediocre...

Don't worry, it won't last forever! Just part of being a newborn! Be careful of the book Babywise, though... I have a feeling it would go against some of your parenting philosophies :) You are doing a great job and don't stop trusting your mommy instinct :)

you CAN do this, kam!! keep telling yourself that.

i remember getting to points every girl when i wondered how much longer we could do it. i remember telling my husband, "i don't know when she'll sleep through the night, but i promise she won't be wanting to cuddle at night when she's 12!"

now the oldest is 4 and finally started sleeping all night about 8 months ago. now i sneak in to cuddle her sometimes. =)

here's to hoping larkin gets the hang of it much before then, though!! =)

You mean YOUR Daughter has a strong personality already - go figure! What a blessed bambina she is to have her momma hold her and feed her and kiss her thru the night!

Kam, it won't be forever. Another mantra could be "It's a good thing you're so cute!" Loved chatting with you the other day. You sound good, and I'm sure feel....uhmmmmm great!

Do you ever watch Sienfeld? Your mantra should be Serenity Now! :)
