gunnar is an excellent hide and seeker. he uses the entire house: every closet, every nook, every interesting hiding place he can find he uses. i have been stashing his christmas loot in the guest closet; i covered it all with a blanket. i also told jaren to stear him away from that closet when they play just-in-case...the other day i had some girlfriends over for lunch.(tiff and sum, thanks again for coming. i had so much fun!! can't wait for the next luncheon.) they brought their darling kiddos and gunnar got a great idea to play hide-n-seek. i didnt think anything of it when they disappeared towards the guest bedroom. 1 minute later gunnar emerges with his hands full...of christmas. HIS Chirstmas! he found it all...we quickly told him it was for someone else...he of course had a meltdown and has been asking to play with it ever since... do i keep it or take it all back and start over with 6 days to go? this was the last thing i bought him: a book. he didnt find it. he already has...
maybe this book and a lump of coal will be all that stinker gets...

Oh, what a bummer!!! I bet he's young enough that if you can distract him enough...(yeah, right huh) it can still be a surprise. Of course you'll have to figure out his Santa stuff if he managed to find it-that stuff will definitely need to be different. I put that book you got for Gunnar on one of my boy's wish lists...cute book! We use suitcases with locks to hide Christmas gifts. My husband travels for work periodically, so they all just assume he's getting ready to go somewhere if they see them sitting in a closet! Good luck finding a new hiding place...might have to use a friend's house :-)
we had so much fun too.... thanks you are such a great hostess... got my pictures in their frames and they are adorable... love them, her room is really coming together now... so sad for gunner, he was so excited and wanted to play with his new toy soooo bad... xoxo
hi that was me for some reason i was signed in under my sister in law... oops....
that's funny. but i'll bet you he doesn't forget. last year paige got in the car and i forgot i had things in there. i told her they were for some little girl...blah blah...anyway, when she saw it on Christmas she told me that it was what i had in the car and it was not for another girl. :( Oh well...it's a year later, and she doesn't remember.
Gunnie is a boy after my own heart! I am horrible at waiting too! BTW, love this author, a favorite in my family. And how ironic is that title! Love you!
