Yesterday, I spent some time with this mom and her new baby.
I left baby hungry... baby starving... baby famished... baby emaciated. Can I buy one of these at Nordstrom?
My baby hasn't been a sweet, floppy doll for a long, long, time.
He hasn't snuggled like this in a while either.
Baby Brody is the fourth in his family, but I can tell his mom has a special affinity for him,
probably because he is her last, and also because he came to a home with a lot of this-
pink pizazz!!
Brody has 3 older sisters. Their rooms are filled with fun dollies and pink toys (I could have played there for a week and not been bored!), but I am sure Brody is their favorite baby doll.
I am fond of him too.
His family is super, ultra cool. (I am going to shoot(why can I not get over how punny that always sounds) his sisters soon; you will die at how beautiful they are.) His parents are beautiful too. Not only are they an attractive family, but they are really engaging; I could talk to both of his parents all day. Number 1 because they laugh at my jokes. Number 2 because they are both really witty and funny; I love that quality. I really enjoyed talking to Joy and getting to know her better; Brody is lucky to be surrounded by so much love and laughter. This little brow made me think of his Dad; I have seen it on Scott before. Usually right before he says something super sarcastic or hysterical.
He was such a good sport and Joy was so cool about letting me rearrange the house and get her new baby down to his birthday suit.
Some details of this new little-
He really was so good the entire time. Sure you don't want more Joy?
Then he started getting sleepy.
So his mom put him to bed, but not before I snapped a couple more.
Welcome to the world Baby Brody; it was nice meeting you today.
Joy and Brody- Thanks so much for the opportunity! I had a great time!! Can't wait for the Vogue shoot with the girls! xoxo Kam

Dinosaurs Eat MAC
I am not sure if my boy is like any of your children, but he is by my side all the time. Rarely, do I go to the bathroom alone. Seriously. When I wake, his little face is in mine. When I walk, he is attached to my hip. When I get ready, he is at my feet making one more mess for me to clean up. Yesterday he wanted to play dinosaurs while I was trying to dress and put my war paint on. He couldn't wait for the 5 minutes I was asking to finish putting on my make-up, so I moved my gear to the floor and sat by he and the "saurs". Before I knew it Gunnie was pulling out my little color tubs and putting one in front of his line of dinosaurs.
"What are you doing Gun?"
"Saurs a hungry in belly, Mom."
So each one got his or her (I like to think some of the them are girls.) very own feeding bowl full of brightly colored, costly, herbivore and carnivore comestibles.
This saur matched his food. Good boy Gunnar. I am teaching well.
I tried taking this one's food away. This was the face and stance he gave me. There was a growl too and a hiss. I decided to wear a different color.
Sweet Boy.
With sweet feet. I am a sucker for little feet.
His are sweet, not mine.
Later in the day Gunnar had his first true play date. (He has had friends over before but hasn't felt comfortable playing with them without me in the room. My sister has her daughters' friends over all the time. She says it is great because they entertain each other and only come out of their rooms if they need help resolving something important, like where the Barbie's missing head is, or who striped Ken and hung him upside down from his leg, or who took a big bite out of Barbie's feet. You know, important stuff.) Gunnar has never had a play date where he didn't need me to play with them, until yesterday. At first he needed some guidance, but then he warmed up to having another little around and soon didn't need me. They had a great time. I got a few things done. :) Thank Heaven for the functional play date.
They played trains, pirates, and chased each other. They ate lunch, popsicles, and drank chocolate milk. Then we headed outside for some chalk and bubbles.
Will I ever get to do ponies like this on my little girl's noggin? Please Lucky Stars, give me ponies next time.
"Hummmm, what shall we talk about?"
"Huggies are on sale at Target right now. Good to know."
"Paige, I ummm, I, geez, I'm sorry my Mom's here. Go away MOMMMMMMM!"
"Paige, wanna see "sometim"?Watch this! You are going to love it. I can stomp on one foot. Cool, huh?"
"Now you try."
"Paige, you're nice."
"I know."
We have some goblets that we use as every day glasses. We make toasts often at dinner. Gunnar likes to toast everything. He kept saying, "Cheers" and "toasting" her popsicle. ;)
"Cheers."
Some art.
Thanks for the fun day,
Tonight we went to Disneyland. Phewww...I'm tired.

Cowboy Cole and Close to Crying Caden
Shooting my boy is always a great lesson in shutter speed; the kid doesn't hold still. So, the other day while he was at pre-school I grabbed a little whose face I love to shoot (not to mention, the doll will hold still for as long as I like; he is great for practing in manual.) Cole is so fun to take pictures of. We had a great time taking advantage of some of our local buildings.
I liked to call this shoot, the first part of it at least, Cowboy Cole.
The Gun.
The Hat.
The Vest and Chaps.
The Cowboy.
The Quick Draw.
The Gunsmoke.
The Mean Face.
The Tip of The Hat.
The Hide Out.
The Stick Up.
The Menacing Eyes of a Sherriff.
The Artistic Shot With Someone's Gum in The Crack (I forgot to photoshop that out. Oops!).
The Cowboy.
A little wardrobe change and enter Caden, the crying brother. (I can only say that because every picture of me for ummm, like the first 5 years of my life was filled with tears. I actually don't mind it when kids crying during pictures; it's who they are right now, right?)
Wardrobe. (Vickie, knows me well. She knew I would want to more than just the cowboy stuff. She even put the boys in bright colors, "I know you like them Kam!" Thanks Vick!!)
When I don't have a large black thing in his face he actually thinks I am pretty cool. I am surprised he isn't more enchanted by my camera; he loves transformers. ;)
I love this shot of kids for some reason. I just think it is innocent and sweet and shows their gorgeous eyelashes. You can't buy eyelashes that beautiful!
The tears kind of started coming right about...
now.
But Brother was there to help.
And help he did.
And...the money shot. This one will be going on the website. Mine that is. I bought my .com. I am just trying to get all my paperwork in order so I can roll with this photography biz. Keep your fingers crossed...
Cole, Caden, and Vickie- Thanks for the fun! I appreciate your confidence in me and all the support you offer; I love you guys- xoxo Kam
